I often hear on the internet, that Marvel should stop making superhero movies. I've been thinking of how to answer that, so I ask what kind of non-superhero movies do you want Marvel to make with their properties? A Pasty and Hedy teen rom com? A Miss Betty Bliss movie about her teaching underprivileged kids? A Rawhide Kid western? A fashion movie starring Millie the Model? Would you see those? What are your ideas?

A Trans movie

You're joking, but Marvel actually has several trans characters: Jessie Drake, Ken Shiga, Charlene McGowan, and Sera. One of which (Jessie Drake) has been around since 1994. DC Comics have several as well.

Also, I should note that Skrulls are gender fluid in that they can be physically male or female anytime they want.

Nah, I'm being sarcastic. I just got in a conversation with a guy who was saying that Marvel is now oversaturating the market, and I pointed out to him that they've only announced 1-2 movie releases each year in their schedule (the same they've always have done). Also they just pretty much cancelled all their tv shows with only 1 or 2 left to finish out their last season (still unsure if there will be a Runaways season 4, but it's doubtful). The Disney+ announcements is just Disney trying to fill their new streaming network with content as quickly as they can to be competitive against Netflix, and those will only be about 8 episodes each. They aren't really oversaturating anything. If anything, they're under developing and putting all eggs in one basket at the moment during the new transitions at Marvel.

This has aged beautifully.

Also sarcasm

To be fair, the pandemic threw off their schedule so they now have to play catch up to the get the goal they're trying to reach next, and fewer other movies have been made/release because of it as well. Also, there was a whole year (2020) where absolutely nothing was released for the MCU.

I don't know what they SHOULD do. I can only say that personally, I am beyond fatigued with super hero films. I've always been a fan of super heroes since I was a kid, but lately I can't really get too interested.

The last few I was genuinely interested in were Black Panther, Ant-Man & Wasp and Doctor Strange. I was disappointed with Spider-Man Far From Home, and slightly underwhelmed by Joker.

Nowadays, I am in no rush at all to see the next Marvel comic book film, whenever it does come out. That's just my take.

Endgame kind of burned me out. It was so long and corny. It had something like 20 minutes of action in it, too. I haven't seen the new Spider-Man film yet... I figure I'll wait until it comes out at the video store. It may already be there. I do have some interest in it....

I felt the same way mostly with Endgame. It was such a lengthy film. I don't hate it, but I think it might be the last "big" film I see for a while. The main issue I had with Spider-Man: Far From Home was that I just didn't enjoy it as much as Spider-Man: Homecoming from 2 years earlier. The main heel was cool though.

The main "heel?" Are you referring to the Flash character? This is unclear.

Sorry. No, I only meant the main antagonist.

It's cool.

I should add, that even with 10 superhero movie (4 MCU) titles released/to be released this year, Hollywood still produced more westerns (Moviefone lists 58 for 2021).
