อเวนเจอร์ส: มหาสงครามล้างจักรวาล bediscussiëren

The way the Marvel sold charcter rights to differant studios the true mcu will never be. Since Fox has totally screwd up the FF it "might" let marvel use them in the MCU. Question: If they do should the Thing be like Michael Chiklis portrayial (whick I liked) or CGI?

I think they’d do him like Korg. It would definitely have CGI to it but it would be motion capture to get the actors’s portrayal like the Hulk.

I agree with @Jason VoorDeez that the Thing will be motion capture and CGI.

I agree as well. What's most important, in my opinion, is that the Thing look like the Thing from the comic books, unibrow and all. Chiklis also seemed a bit small in his 2 movies.

I hope that if they do another FF film, sci-fi plays a bigger role in it, and not so much fantasy.

Will there be a growing concern to a fully CGI motion capture character (like The Thing) with Thanos? Steppenwolf from JL is now a divisive character purely for the representation but given praise for the voice work.

The Hulk is fully CGI/Mo-Cap and I don't recall too much push-back from audiences.

Motion capture means that it’s not “fully” CGI. Josh Brolin is acting as Thanos, just like Mark Ruffalo acts as the Hulk. Plus, ILM is the leader in CGI and special effects. I haven’t seen JL so I can’t comment on the look of Steppenwolf, but from the negative things I’ve heard is much more than the CGI. If they’re able to do a F4 movie, there’s no worries about a well done mo-cap Thing, provided they cast him right, something Marvel has regularly done.

I am no VFX expert and interpret Motion Capture as tracking and then animating instead of cel animation. Mo Cap provides for a more smother and realistic representation by capturing distinct points of movement. the more distinct points the higher the quality of accuracy but it is all represented by CG. It is not a mixture of prosthetics and computers. It remains 'fully' CGI. I may just be quibbling over semantics so I will defer to your summary. The point remains that the CGI representation of Steppenwolf, whose face was indeed Mo-Capped for his voice work, was poorly received by some viewers of Justice League.

Yeah I see what you mean. I honesty think it comes down to VFX companies and there’s no one better than ILM. They make the Hulk look like he’s really in these scenes and I’m sure the same will be said about Thanos. It’s less of a distraction when the CGI fits into the scenes seamlessly and ILM almost always delivers.
