This is a pretty suprising twist that I didn't see coming. We are going to see a young Nick Fury with both eyes. I'm guessing it is going to be primarily an origin story. We will see Captain Marvel at the end of Infinity War, and this film will tell us how she got there. It makes a lot of sense though, considering this is coming out between Infinity War films.

Setting it earlier makes sense, but I wonder why they are doing the 90's specifically. Also, wonder if she'll be Ms. Marvel or Binary or something for part of the movie. I don't know. I'm excited and I can't wait for spring 2019.

The most interesting piece is the battle with the Skrulls. Given the 90s setting, that means ANY of the characters we've seen in the MCU could actually be Skrull. Gives a lot of opportunity to reboot story arcs if it turns out certain characters have been imposters all this time.

i'm very cold on finding out how Fury lost his eye. feels like way too pat of a wink wink moment that wasn't at all needed.

They already did that in Winter Soldier. I can't think of any characters that you could make skrull. I think the advantage is that you can have big things happening without the public knowing about it, which would explain why we have never heard about it in the MCU up till now.

I've thought of that. Wondering if they will be building to Avengers: Secret Invasion or some such.
