Hi, I re-checked the original credits and the credit says "Based on the Marvel Comics". This means I have now deleted the two persons listed on TMDb since they were not directly credited. Thanks.
Sorry to barge in here but they're credited in the "Marvel Studios" section as creating Captain America (Captain America appears in the mid-credits scene).
@lineker If the "[Character Name] created by" credit is not valid for the "Characters" writing role, please let me know as it would affect a lot of movies and TV shows based on comic book characters, specifically from Marvel and DC since that's the credit their productions use the most.
I did not see that credit, but it should not change things here since the 'Characters' job is implying a character (or many characters) having a starring role in the movie, not an (uncredited) cameo. As the credit was added it implied that Jack Kirby and Joe Simon created Captain Marvel (and other leading characters in the movie), when Captain Marvel was in fact created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan. We also had the 'Based on the Marvel Comics' credit, where normally we would have seen a proper 'created by' or 'characters created by' credit. So, the "[Character Name] created by" credit can still be valid, but it depends on the situation. I hope this makes sense!
