You had to feel for Gerda

She deeply loved her husband, and they had great romantic bond, before he realized he had a different identity. They were planning on having a baby. Considering the era they lived in, that was courageous she chose to stay friends with her spouse and support him.
Has anybody ever seen her paintings? Is this the movie that garnered Eddie the Academy award? Their dog is super cute!

Eddie's Oscar win was for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. Alicia Vikander won for supporting actress in this film. The movie was only LOOSELY based on Lili & Gerde.
