Yea totally agree, I see a lot of films so I didn't realize this was in effect a remake of a film I've already seen until the bathroom drug stash scene which made me immediately plug on it due to the fact that I was already going into this knowing the general rating and opinion of it being quite bad and I didn't feel the need to watch a _bad _ remake of Sleepless Night aka "Nuit blanche"(2011). I came to see if anyone else was of the same thinking.

After I stopped watching I did start reading reviews and not a single one of them mentioned that this is remake of a very recent film, I'm not dissing them for not having seen the original film, but ffs it's listed in the main credits, clueless idiots.

I saw it in the theatre with friends... I only realised it was based on Nui Blanche at around the same point in the movie... up until then it seemed just a bit more cliche then usual...

Solid cast though... still a basically by-the-numbers undercover cop movie... I entertained myself trying to see where it differed from what I remembered of the French movie... I also realised that Michelle Monaghan is still cute when angry and it was great to see Gabrielle Union on the big screen...

I saw this opening weekend. I was not aware of the original before seeing it. I do agree with what you said but i did think it had a lot of entertainment value despite its DTV vibe. About Monaghan, I felt that she was that cliche tough female cop slash Ahem character which almost took away from the movie. She wasn't really given much. I'd catch again on cable though.
