I thought the movie was great, but I wish they hadn't left so much out! I know that Mel decided to leave some true details out becuase he felt the audience would not believe it, but I think it makes it better to leave actual history in!

Just curious but are the the details you're speaking of from "Redemption at Hacksaw Ridge" or other online research? I plan to watch it this weekend and I haven't read the book.

Yeah, such as the sniper having him in this sites then getting his rifle jammed.

I've only heard about changes from reviews and other things, not from the documentary. I'm referring to everything that happened after he was wounded, for instance.
