This was surprisingly good for a Chinese nationalist film, this film was filmed with so much nationalism that if it was made by a US Company it would have been boycotted for having to much masculinity and not diverse enough, even though there was a good mix of races, sexes and genders. China gets a pass, if this was made by any other US film company it would be slammed for diversity issues.

Not sure if you are just trolling but this movie is an American - Chinese co-production.

It's also not particularly nationalist. The OP clearly has no idea what Chinese nationalism looks like. That said, the film does have several earmarks of Chinese film-making, including a few moments of clear "Chinese humor". The film clearly pandered, but nationalism was not part of the description. I am honestly tired of people criticizing China when it's clear that they know absolutely nothing about it, outside of whatever partisan propaganda (all sides) they hear. There's plenty to criticize, but if you don't even have a basic foundation in the country or it's actual history, please don't even try. Asia is enough of a mess without people reciting memes.
