Did anyone else notice that when we are introduced to The White Widow she was telling a story about her mother. She said her mothers name was Max. Are we to assume this is the same Max from the first Mission Impossible movie?

Yes. Max is definitely the White Widow's mother. I'm hoping that the White Widow will get more screen time in the upcoming MI movie.

Yes, however I honestly didn't understand why they didn't spell it out in this movie.

From what I understand, the white widow is in Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Part One.

Yes indeed.

@HarrySkywalker : I wonder if The White Widow is now working exclusively for MI6 or is she still selling her organizing skills to the highest bidder? And is her pain in the ass brother still around?

Have you already seen this movie?

@HarrySkywalker : No, not yet. I just saw her in a couple of clips, decided on my own about what her character does in Dead Reckoning based on the CIA's comments in Fallout about why The White Widow never seems to be arrested by any country.

Saw the film last weekend. She is in it, as is her brother, and is still freelance.

Then just watch the movie. I'm not giving you spoilers.

@M.LeMarchand : Thanks! I can't afford to see the movie until August 1. It's going to be tough not to ask for spoilers, but as an Honorary Impossible Missions Force Agent I'll manage not to do it somehow.

@HarrySkywalker : Okay. I'll let everyone know on August 2nd what I thought of the movie. This post will self-destruct in 5 seconds. Good lock, HarrySkywalker (sorry, I just couldn't resist that last line!)

Hope you enjoy it! I did, but I'm not a long-term fan of the original show (I remember watching it as a youngster, but not on a must-see basis).

@M.LeMarchand: I've been a Mission Impossible fan since 1969. I lived in Ireland from 1967 to 1969. When I returned to the US in 1969, Mission Impossible was the first tv series I saw on American television, and I've loved it ever since.
