I just have this feeling that if there wasn't Kardashians, this movie wouldn't exist. People only became aware (en masse) of Armenians because of the Kardashians. 😒
Quite untrue. I've never even heard if the Kardashians talk about the genocide but even before the terrible Kardashians; bands like System of a Down and Rage against the Machine talked about this issue in their music. Anytime the holocaust or genocides get mentioned in history, the Armenian genocide is always top of the list. There is a plethora of art since the early 1900s depicting or symbolizing the genocide. There are a small handful authors who've written about the genocide including Kurt Vonnegut-- most of these books get banned and burnt en masse in Turkey. There have been a number of plays about the genocide and a large number of films and documentaries about it as well. Not to mention the massive amount of Armenian Genocide memorials all around the world.
I personally learned about the genocide in school. Then I heard more about it through lyrics by System of a Down and did much of my own research on it.
My advice to you is to expand your mind beyond the Kardashians.
You're only going to see more of it in the media if the west takes up the issue in order to play even more political games in the middle east... Otherwise, it's only something that will be read about in history books... As bad as it was, it's something that happened 100 years ago... World War one type stuff...
But yeah, if you ask someone to name an Armenian person, they'd probably mention a Kardashian... They're that popular...

Trust me, expanding my mind means blocking the Kardashians from it.
I'm just noticing that in popular culture, no one gave a hoot about Armenians until the Kardashians. I'm just commenting on what I see.
Well what have the Kardashians ever said about the Armenian Genocide? Link me to a vid or something.
Come on, you're not THAT literal when communicating with people are you?
I didn't say anything about Kardashians SPEAKING on the genocide. What I was inferring was that people (especially Americans) would give you a blank stare if you said anything about Armenia before the Kardashians made people aware of Armenia existing. Because they look 'ethnic', average IQ'd people wanted to know their ethnicity, hence making the AVERAGE person aware of the nationality.
Do you understand what I'm saying now?
(God I hate feeling that I have to explain what I'm saying to people who don't get it 😒

For someone that advises people to expand their minds, and poses as an intellectual, you sure do misread, or read into things; things that were never stated. So I'll go take some shrooms and expand my mind and before you next try and show off your big brain, you go find some grade 5 reading comprehension textbooks (American or Canadian will do) and brush up on your reading skills.
Good day Anal Annie
The Kardashians are not MY womenfolk (did you just jump out of a time machine from the 18th century)? 😂...women folk.
And then "whatever misfortune your people and nation might suffer, you'll no longer be unknown". Say what? Are you talking to 2 different nations in your paragraph?
My women folk...and MY misfortune? Can you sort out your statement for me please?
And glad to see you're a fan, following me around the boards for COMPLETELY different movies. I think you have a crush on me and are doing the 5th grade equivalent of pulling my ponytail 😉

Whenever I think about the Kardashians, I think about death and slaughter.
There's a lot of blood.

Kim Kardashian is probably the most well known woman of her generation... not just in the US, but worldwide as well...
Pretty crazy when you think about it...
