This Bond (also) kind of sucks

Ahh....who am I kidding it definitely sucks! After the four previous stinkers I figured it was high time they made a decent Bond movie again. Think again! My favourite part is how the secretary Moneypenny apparently went from having her own little 00 adventures in the previous movies into running the whole MI6 and that is the only deduction I can make from this movie the way she is questioning and bossing M and Bond around and partaking in the planning etc. in the movie. How very progressive. It also seems they still haven't dropped the idea of this "Bond" being some kind of a second rate copy of Jason Bourne. Craig just doesn't have it and it's like somebody threw a wooden chair in the room the guy has zero charisma and that is one thing Bond was supposed to have. How I miss the wise cracking Bonds....heck even George Lazenby's Bond was miles better than this latest re-iteration. The same goes for this new version of Blofeld. That guy also has zero charisma and is about as menacing as a purring kitten. Hell, even in makeup Christopher Waltz looks more like the guy you order to your home to unclog your toilet than any sort of villain. Not even going to say anything about his larger than life relationship with the french chick. For a second I thought I was watching an episode of McGuyver the way dwelled on that boring relationship that nobody cares about.

I was properly entertained. The movie was done very professionally and the storytelling is fluid, without embarrassing moments and low on stupidity. It is still a Bond movie so there is a high level of ridiculous stuff, but it didn't feel like they were taking themselves too seriously. If you try to analyze it on realistic level you are clearly missing the point.
I do not claim to be a huge Bond fan, but I did see a lot of old Bond movies and you can't really compare them to new ones. Same way you can't compare old Batman TV show and current Batman movies. It's a different era, different culture, different approach. It's a pop culture product, this is a reflection of our times.
Out of all Bond movies with Craig I liked the first and this one the best. The middle ones are boring and stupid. One of the parameters to evaluate a movie is if I would want to see it again, and I have to say that yes, I would see this movie at least once more.

It was boring.
There is nothing standout about this movie except that they killed him, and the more I think about it the more I'm glad they killed him.

They should've killed him after 'Casino Royale' since the series took a nosedive after that movie and seemed to move from being James Bond to something else entirely. Then again, I guess these Craig "Bond" movies have been successful financially since they've kept him in the lead all this time and keep churning out these absolutely mediocre and dreadful movies. Maybe Bond fans really want to see him turned into a second rate mediocre and boring Jason Bourne copy.
