I had already heard whispers, some months ago, that this was a splendid, moving film. This absolute rave certainly backs that up. It is doubtful whether this will get a cinema release where I am, but I shall certainly be looking out for it. It's lovely to see Jean-Pierre Léaud pulling off what appears to be such a late-career triumph! Has anybody seen this?

Well, I've seen it, probably not a good moment (evening and tired), so I didn't like it. Focusing only on the King Louis is a choice, but not even well painted. The pace is very very slow, the medical issues are in center of the drama but difficult to hold the attention with this for nearly 2 very very long hours. It's up to you to make your mind, thus. It's been on my watchlist on Kanopy but haven't gotten around to yet. Maybe I'll watch it sometime this week?
