Discuss The Love Witch

I've heard that 'The Love Witch' is inspired by or a love letter of sorts to certain films of the 50s, 60s, and maybe even 70s. I gather that the melodramas of Douglas Sirk ('All that Heaven Allows', 'Written on the Wind') are important predecessors, but there must have been other films that writer/director Anna Biller had in mind while creating this.

Which films are important to see in order to get a handle on the inspiration for the look and the feel of 'The Love Witch'?
