Highly rated biopic of Madame Curie (w/an excellent portrayal by Greer Garson), one of the few people to win more than one Nobel Prize. Notably, her daughter and son-in-law also won Nobel Prizes, also for discoveries in radioactivity. All three eventually died prematurely from the effects of radiation poisoning. I guess sometimes knowledge comes at a high price.
Marie Curie's lab notebooks are still highly radioactive after more than 100 years. They are kept locked in a special case in a museum, and anyone who wants to examine them must sign a waiver absolving the museum of any responsibility.
