I wasn't really looking forward to this but had nothing better to do so decided to give it a go. What a bad idea
For such an impressive cast, it was a very disappointing and predictable movie. I can only assume the movie got green-lit because of the director's dad. There is simply no other reason why it should exist. The genre states scifi/thriller but the scifi ascept is seriously over reaching. There are no elements of scifi whatsoever. This has to be most useless excuse to have an AI character in a movie EVER!
just stay clear

Meh. It wasn't that bad. I give it 2.5 stars out of 5. Yes, 'twas predictable but I've seen worse.

It was completely predictable and didn't have a single original thought in it. You KNOW the ending within the first few minutes and the characters were completely forgettable cardboard cut outs. No really big names - I am not surprised.

Yeah but it was fun to watch the ruthlessness of Morgan as she wiped out anybody who crossed her. I was filled with female pride. Then the conclusion included even more wondrous girl power. In the sequel I wanna see Donald Trump try and grab Morgan 2.0's pussy.

It was ok. Not as bad as it was made out to be but pretty forgettable. Was a while ago I saw it and I can remember very little about it. Though I do remember some of the action being surprisingly well edited.

I thought it was very average, not "poor, very poor". I gave it a 6/10, definitely okay in my book.

I liked it. I was expecting Morgan to set free and kill ppl, but wasn't expecting Lee. And I didn't figure what Morgan was before the end. For some time I was expecting some philosophical talk about AI being humans or not and how they'd see themselves and humans.
IDK between this and Ex Machina who copied who, but both had very very similar scenes.

I agree it was pretty poor. Not only was it quite predictable, but it's one of those movies where nothing the actors do in the movie makes much sense. Case in point I lost count how many times somebody pointed a weapon at the robot (or whatever it was) only to get the weapon taken from them. Not to mention their "deep" and loving relationship and sympathy with the robot after it had taken a bite out of someone's neck and stabbed another one in the eye.

They pointing guns doesn't make sense for me either, but the rest does. She's not a robot, they explain she's a biological being based on human, developed with the help of nanobots. So in some POV she's alive, she has cells. It's not said if the nanobots were used only during the gestation or they're still working on her body.
They're a weapon development company and projects are done by small groups on isolated places to not raise suspicion. The company had alrdy some models of human-machine weapons, then this team proposed to develop one that has more human characteristics and has emotions, so it'd be more independent and fight better.
But Morgan is very human-like, she doesn't just follow orders, so ppl forget she's not human and treat her as so. It's part of her development to be raised and taught by them. But the ginger girl broke the protocol and was teaching her human feelings, taking her to walk on the forest, saying poesy, etc. One day they found a hurt deer, and instead of helping it Morgan broke its neck. That scared the girl and her secret walks were discovered, so they locked Morgan to avoid her leaving in secret and discuss the deer incident. But then the other girl was carelessly talking to her that she was trying to convince them to let her leave, she got mad and attacked.
These weapons are meant to be obedient and precise, they can't attack without being ordered, and Morgan saying she didn't meant to do it makes things worse because it implies she also is unable to control herself when angry or under stress. She's a failure, so company executives decided to kill her and all the team, but decided to do so sending Lee disguised as an analyst, to test if she'd be able to trick even company crew who know of these weapons.
