The scene with Dr. Fletcher where she gets Dennis to admit he's fronting and has been acting as Barry is amazing! She knows it's not Barry due to the demeanor and won't let it go that she keeps getting urgent emails pleading for a talk at various hours, including in the middle of the night.

She's smart enough to connect this inner disarray with the past incident at work where he was sexually harassed by the teenage girls, recounting how he had been disturbed for days on end. Then she starts mentioning how Dennis and Patricia were telling the others "scary stories" about the Beast, so it seems like the Beast alter had never really been in their consciousness til after the incident at work, further lending credence to her theory. As she goes on describing the Beast, Dennis grows quieter and the facial expressions more brief. He's obviously running into trouble keeping up the Barry act and appears like he kind of doesn't want keep it up anymore, anyway.

"If this is you, Dennis... I understand why Kevin needs you. You are strong and disciplined, you are precise, and you will not be taken advantage of."

He doesn't bother much with the exaggerated Barry-like expressions anymore now. She's starting to really reach him.

"You are not evil to me. You were necessary. Dennis, is that you?"

He keeps blinking with an increasingly somber look on his face. His eyes have a wetness to them now and he looks like he's about to cry. Then he shifts his sitting position and we see him fully drop Barry and reveal himself to indeed be Dennis. He begins to open up how he and Patricia are ridiculed by the others and although he knows they're not perfect, he doesn't deserve to be ridiculed. "We're all struggling, they have to admit that."

Dr. Fletcher looks away and wipes her eyes. "I am pleased to meet you, Dennis."

What an incredible scene.

I'm glad you described the scene for me because I didn't realise what that scene meant when I watched it. Dennis really thinks that Dr. Fletcher is on their side. He thinks that she is accepting the Beast and indirectly the Beast's plans of getting revenge on society by murdering people who represent those girls who sexual harassed Kevin.
