From watching the trailers, the space scenes looks very realistic. NASA has way more cash than Hollywood movies so it would be easy for them to fake some/all space missions. If movies can create realistic 'fake space', why not NASA?

why would they need to fake anything?

Cost, risk to life, the suggestion no-one has ever visited space, fake Moon landings etc. Not wishing to sound like a conspiracy theorist but there's lots of evidence to suggest space fakery by NASA and other foreign space agencies. The NASA space programme may be the ultimate 'fake news' story of the 20th century!

And the moonrocks they collected and were / are studied by dozens of geologists, all over the world. They are in it, as well? 'mkay....

The CGI in this movie is pretty good, but still looks just like what it is: CGI. And at the time of the moon landing no research center in the world had the computational power to render anything like this.

I like to keep an open mind, so I'll say it's possible just as much as the holocaust being a hoax, 9/11 being an inside job and Area 51 being an alien research facility might be possible. But, just as Renovatio mentioned already, the lack of incentive makes me incredibly trepidatious.

Furthermore, NASA and its programs cost a lot. It would be difficult to hide those finances if they are heading elsewhere, independent investigators could find it out. Not saying that it's a 100% impossibility that misdirected finances could avoid detection for so many years, but it raises doubt.

What is the "lots of evidence" that you speak of? Would be nice to know what specific evidence you are talking about and what sources they come from. Could you possibly apply the same amount of skepticism to that "lots of evidence" and come to the speculation that they too might be "fake news"?

There's a difference between conspiracy theorists and being bat-shit insane, to suggest space flight is fake is an insult to real conspiracies and makes a person sound like they have a single digit IQ.

Yeah, sometimes it makes you wonder whether those are real conspiracies or just fake conspiracies because neither side goes without contradicting itself.

For example, real conspiracy theorists have reported that if the spaceship did not land on the Moon, then it must have landed in Idaho, while fake conspiracy theorists say, no, it landed in Arizona because Idaho has trees in June, when the Moon is silvery enough to find the flagpole.

But fake conspiracy theorists also contradict one another by some saying that the first thing astronauts found by the flagpole was a shopping cart, while others claim that it was a Campbell's Soup can dating back to the Asteroid Belt Era.

Then you have to wonder how they do things backwards, like blasting off from Miami Beach, but taking orders from Houston, then landing either on the Moon, Idaho or Arizona, before splashing down in the Pacific Ocean, which is even less populated than anyplace with a flagpole.

So, you figure if they land on the Moon, then they land on land, but if they land on Earth, then they land on water, whereas even Andy Williams always says that Moon River runs wider than a mile, so go figure why they miss it.

And what about the green cheese? Even PBS teaches you that the Moon is made out of green cheese, so that would have to make Moon Rocks either real or fake by comparison even though nobody gets to handle them except for NASA "scientists." Doesn't Curious George even fly to the Moon on PBS because he is a monkey, and sometimes he can do things which we cannot get away with ourselves.

But the real proof between real and fake news has to lie with this newspaper clipping about the first Earthling to land on the Moon.... http://veryvintagevegas.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/alice-20kramden.jpg

That's some more, eh?

Moon landings were not faked. Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_loUDS4c3Cs
