Cannes audience fled the cinema in shock. Some say "It never should have been made" Personally i laughed through the whole trailer. So im either a psycho, or just dying to see it! Von Trier aims to shock and provoke. He mostly succeeds He takes talked about causes and movements (in this case, womens right) and ridicules it. But hey, its only a movie.

Long, boring and not that shocking. That audience in Cannes probably never seen any violent films before if they thought this was shocking. And what was with that ending, trying to be David Lynch?

pissed I had to work during the one-night-only uncut screening in my city. Still excited to catch this when I have a chance. I thought the Nymphomaniac movies were turds, but I still have hope for this one.

So after seeing this, I must say I dont know what the big deal is. The violence isnt that bad at all. And yes he kills mostly women because they are physically weaker than the serial killer. Just another art piece and slow film from Lars.
