Our reviewer went in with no expectations and really liked it. He said the 3D is amazing as it is true filmed in 3D and not this converted stuff that so many movies are done in.

I've seen the OVA, and I have to say this movie is far better! I loved it. 😁
The story was very close to the OVA, with a lot of additions I hear come from the manga. Some of the changes that were made were good changes, and the things that other critics complained about were done a lot worse in the anime so you can see there was effort from Cameron to flesh the characters and scenes out more. However, you can only do so much without deviating a lot from the source material. That for one, I'm glad (and I hear fans of Alita are also glad) Cameron didn't do. Saying that, I do still wish Cameron/Rodriguez kept a couple of scenes from it that he cut or changed (Hugo's father and Ido vs Vector).

Well then, I'm glad I saw it in 3D.
