It seemed like there was some heavy cutting and missing scene after night call to mother lying to her. So was mother again on drugs or why such sudden decision to depart if it was just mother not wanting to talk to her? Or she just realized their relationship it's extremely asymmetrical?

Nice little movie for weekend afternoon, really enjoyed it, though the pace was extremely slow and not much drama really happening. Kept really watching thanks to handsome girl protagonist. For anyone looking for something similar but happier and funnier can strongly recommend The Station Agent.
