讨论 Каліфорнійський дорожній патруль

They had the original CHIPS to use as inspiration. Ponch was the coolest police officer of the 70s!

I did take a peak at the trailer to this, and from that I could see that they had steered way off course from the original.

It's not very often that a remake surpasses an original. I'm trying to think of one astonished

It was so-so. Definitely could have been funnier, but some parts were decent.

Well they are rare but I think True Grit blows away the original

The problem with modern adaptations of old TV shows is, we watched those old TV shows with sensibilities geared to our age at the time, AND at this stage in our lives we look back at our younger times with misty nostalgia that clouds our clear view.

Now we're all grown up and our sensibilities have changed, and I often ask myself "how could I have watched this dreck?" (A-Team, Knight Rider...ugh!).

Having said that, it was really nice to see the original Starsky and Hutch (Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul) make cameos in the remake with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

Nearly all the posts on this site are from people who have not seen the film. Most are judging it from having only seen the trailer. The TMDB rating has risen to 49%.

Jon Baker and Frank "Ponch" Poncherello have just joined the California Highway Patrol in Los Angeles, but for very different reasons. Baker is a former champion motorbike show rider, who's trying to put his life and marriage back together. Poncherello is a cocky, undercover FBI agent who's investigating a multimillion dollar heist that may be an inside job. Forced to work together, the inexperienced rookie and hardened veteran clash instead of click while trying to solve the crime. This Ponch is a novice motorbike rider.

The trailer emphasized the attempts at humor, which was not very good. The film has a LOT of stunt motorbike riding and action scenes with crashes and explosions. Erik Estrada, Ponch in the TV CHiPs, has a small part near the end as a paramedic, continuing a running joke while speaking in Spanish.

And, I should add...

Dax Sheperd.

My expectations of anything with him in it are low; and, low and behold, this movie managed to crawl even lower than my low expectations. Go figure.
