. . . this film now supplants Citizen Kane as the best film ever made. I think maybe from a director's viewpoint this is probably a good choice. Everything about this almost dreamlike film is just about perfect. And the many CA filming locations, especially SF, are an added visual treat. This film, along with North by Northwest and Rear Window, is one of my favorite Hitchcock films.
