I would like to see that, but it seems like Hustlers is an outlier for Lopez's filmic work of late. For one, there was this movie about another dude obsessed with a J. Lo character that I saw part of not too long ago -- and it looked decidedly not edgy. It's my own fault for not finishing the flick. At any rate, just give me Out of Sight and U-Turn for provocative cinema starring the woman any day.

OOS is definitely a superb flick all around. Not having seen U Turn in eons, I don't know what I'd think if I were to see it again today. The latter film in particular though is the sort of role that calls for a younger actress, you can bring the ingenue verve to the sort of character JLo was playing. In season one of The Sinner, a then mid-30s Jessica Biel took a stab at playing a similar character, and this really stretched the audience's suspension of disbelief to the beaking point. A 50 year old and world weary JLo to still try and play these sort of starry eyed and adrift roles today would be akin to Dennis Quaid being cast as the lead in those After movies

Agreed on OOS. U Turn is satisfactory, if you like neo-noir.... it's just off the beaten path for Jennifer, which is something I always appreciate. So is Blood and Wine, somewhat....
