Sh!t sandwich. Bond was originally written as a white guy, based in part on Ian Fleming's brother, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Peter Fleming. Why must every iconic film with white heroes have to be remade with bIack actors?

There's a certain irony at play here given the excitement being generated by someone else having the agent code number 007 in this film whilst old beefy Sid James look-a-like Daniel Craig gets a pass STILL being cast as "James Bond"... 🤔

[@Innovator] The Bond franchise is not continuous between each actor. When they cast the next Bond it will be by a new director, new writers, basically a reboot of sorts like it has been done the past 57 years. This is just a story to end Craig's run on Bond.

That is 100% false despite the implausibility the franchise always attempted to convey the impression that James Bond was the same guy all the way through from Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan.

This is why they were always references to previous movies in the franchise whenever they switched actors, in "For Your Eyes Only"Roger Moore visited the grave of Tracy Bond who was Bond'swife in on her Majesty's secret service, in "License to Kill" another reference is made to Bond having previously been married in "Die Another Day"we actually see old gadgets from previous Bond movies including the rocket pack from Thunderball and Bond says "I remember this one"

These three examples prove that there was no reboot rather Sean Connery George lazenby Rodger Moore Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan we're all connected directly as if to imply that they are the exact same character the exact same guy.

They sure rebooted with Craig, Spectre proved that. It wasn't even the first time they did that, as Never Say Never was a straight up repeat of Thunderball.

It's now indisputable. Eon Films and MGM don't care about white people!!!!

I dont think Hollywood cares about white people, not the PC thing to do right now. Diversity = Less Whites/No Whites.

Never Say Never Again was never an official Bond film, it was not produced by Albert Broccoli nor distributed by United Artists.

The only reason it was made at all was due to a lawsuit between the estate of Ian Fleming and the co-author/ghost writer Fleming hired to help him writing Thunderball. Because they only have the rights to Thunderball and no other novels or characters, Never Say Never Again was not and could not be an attempt to create a competiting Bond franchise and was nothing more than a one off.

But they prevented United Artist from using the Blofeld character again until Spectre, which Craig's Bond is not part of that timeline either, and is a complete reboot of Bond.
