How was Nicole Scherzinger in it.

Mediocre like the rest as to acting but her dancing wasn't terrible.

I've watched the trailer and wasn't impressed. I will watch the movie though for curiosity. Nothing will top the original.

Then, just when you think the abomination has ended, they crap all over the happy ending to the point where I think they were deliberately trying to ruin a nostalgic piece of American pop culture.

The only reason I would recommend this is the same reason you want someone to taste the spoiled milk - because you have to experience it to understand how bad it is.

I totally agree with you. Definitely an abomination. They took a fantastic iconic movie and turned it into a mediocre musical. And the preaching about women's lib was not necessary. Also I didn't care about the parents problem, it was not about them.

Johnny couldn't act and Baby couldn't dance, she was as stiff as a board. Actually Prattes' dancing wasn't that hot either. He wasn't as smooth, sexy and graceful like Swayze. I'm sorry you just can't help but compare.

What happened to the last dance scene on stage, they missed it all together; most probably because she can't dance. There's a couple of hours I won't get back. I think I'll go watch Patrick and Jennifer to help me forget this awful remake.

I could see it was a dud just from the trailer. When they were practicing the lift, Breslin looked like a baby bird who's mother just threw it out of the nest for the first time to fly... arms, legs all over the place

Yeah, it was really bad. Trying to make it a musical just made it even worse. The final scene and the lifts were cringeworthy.

The alternate ending was horrendous. I mean, I get what they were trying to do because the general consensus among fans of the original is that Baby and Johnny parted ways after the summer... but you leave that up to interpretation. You don't actually show it! lol. It just ruins the fairy tale of the whole thing.

It was pretty sad.
