I know that in the books Yennefer is the one for Geralt but in the games it always felt to me that he was useful and a fun booty call, whereas Triss seemed to actually wanted to spend time with him.

Well, she's a lot closer to that look now than she had been before. I think they had her have brown hair to match the younger Triss actress they had cast first, however since that actress died and because of backlash against season one they made some changes in season 2, ie they changed Triss's hair color and they gave Nilfgaard better armor (to ones that no longer looked like scrotums).

Yeah since I can't confirm she played Triss either now other than that Reddit post (and I can't rewatch the season currently to check), I'm more leaning on the backlash on season 1 (I did say "I think") was the cause for the hair color change anyway, them squirming an explanation about the Nilfgaard armor and then changing it in the second season shows that they were willing to make changes due to the audience response. I mostly added that part cause I remembered having heard about the actress dying and that she had a very similar hairstyle to Triss in season 1.

Can we all agree that they butchered the hell out of the casting for the Witcher. I wont even get into the writing and stories. As a fan of the games I was heart broken but still watched for Cavill since I knew he was a super fan. Disgusting what they did to him. Can you imagine having your lead being the one that is advocating for more accurate story telling and the writers just laughing about it?

I'm reminded of the time people were up and arms that American football player, Jerry Rice, didn't receive the Disneyland promo when he got an MVP, as that spot was usually reserved for the current MVP. I remember everybody was confused by the choice not the have him do the spot since it's only to say the line "I'm going to Disneyland" and he's been in the spotlight a number of times and have had many interviews with the press so he was definitely comfortable in front of a camera. Some even claimed racism was a factor. It wasn't until Rice was given several other commercial endorsement jobs by local businesses that you realized why Disney made that decision, as the man couldn't act out of a paper bag, and delivered lines like a nine year old in a school play. Sometimes people are just meant to do certain things, but skilless in others.

Believe me Vinnie Jones was Shakespearian compared to Jerry Rice. It was so bad I actually remember it.

I haven't seen this and don't plan to. The casting of Ariel in this movie is an INSULT to the original movie which was a classic. People need to stay true to the source material. What are there no redheaded white actresses in their 20s available in hollywood to play Ariel?
