Overview

在17世紀的義大利，一名名叫貝妮蒂塔卡莉尼的女人聲稱自己經歷了神蹟異象，不但產生幻視，更在身上出現了如耶穌基督被釘上十字架後的聖痕。然而，在梵蒂岡神職人員深入調查此事後，認為這一切都是她編造出來的謊言，而貝妮蒂塔也因此失去了神的恩寵。面對被信仰背棄、眾人的鄙夷，一名修女安撫了貝妮蒂塔的內心，並陪伴在她的身邊，親密的陪伴讓這兩個女人之間產生了超越性別的曖昧關係……
