It's funny, when I started watching it today I initially thought I had seen it before, but then almost immediately, as I didn't recognize anything, I decided I hadn't. I finished the film (fairly enjoyable, with some flaws) and came back here to TMDB to rate it. I was torn between a 5 and a 6. I was surprised to see it rated so high (currently 71%), which helped me settle on a 6. Then, to my surprise, I had already rated it...a 6!
Just thought I'd share. I might be losing my mind...or I've seen too many movies...likely both. #crazydays

If it happens again, it might be a sign that you are in Source Code 😎
Do you hear instructions from an attractive woman in uniform by any chance? 😉

You must change your rating - otherwise you will be stuck rewatching Source Code over and over again every few years!

I have done this before with older Westerns before! I love sci-fi and I thought Source Code was really good and gave it an 8.

I wanted to share an answer, but I can hardly recall the film! #itsapattern Seriously, I just went back and watched the trailer. I guess to me it is something we have seen before with only a few small twists. This is not the film's fault, but perhaps my own overexposure. I might go back and watch it a third time just to see what it was that I didn't like, although to be fair a 5 or 6 in my internal rating system is not exactly a bad rating, a 7 is good, any thing 8+ must be truly exceptional. If I had to guess it's because the film is so easily forgettable. ;)

Some of the bits in the film were nice. I remember coming across a good article that explained it pretty well.

Happened to me a few times too, I watch a movie I had forgotten. It's hard to believe, but I had forgotten Sixth Sense ending, I remembered I had watched it and it was about a boy seeing ghosts but completely forgot the plot, so I saw somebody on utube making joke about somebody who'd watch it and stop before the ending, so I went to watch it again.
Just yesterday I watched Sinister. I kept remembering some scenes in it I'm sure I had seen before, but I didn't remember the plot and I'm pretty sure I hadn't seen the ending. I guess at some time I watched it but stopped in the middle and just forgot to finish.

I think the opposite :D It's great to forget how a good movie goes and be able to experience again the same feeling of watching not knowing what will happen.
Of course it's annoying when some scenes seem familiar and I keep guessing if I had watched it or not, if I'm losing memory, but they are so many that it's eventually gonna happen. And there are movies that are hard to understand and have complex scenes, so if I don't watch them some times it's gonna just fade out.
