Yeah, you were well early with this one, dude. Won't be posting mine for quite a while. I am very much looking forward to Parasite but I still don't think it's even been released here yet.
Haven't seen Parasite yet, but so far my 2019 TOP 1 belongs to The Nightingale. What a deep reach it was
How graphic is the violence in it? I have Hulu & it's on the channel, but I'm just not a fan of graphic violence.
I’m not good with extreme violence either. It is, I must confess, one of the toughest films to watch I have seen on a long time. But the story is powerful, the performances compelling - it’s worth the squirmy moments.

You know it's weird but I love 'Hong Kong action/crime' films, they are full of violence but it just seems to be different? I don't watch 'modern' horror films because of the violence/gore, they aren't scary but I feel every 'hatchet blow'.
Is there anything good in the film? I don't mean a 'happy ending' but do the bad guys at least have to pay (no matter how little) for what they have done? I just don't want to watch a film that is tragic throughout.
parasite is at top for me in 2019 followed by Ford vs Ferrari and marriage story, though those two were not that special on par with 1917, Dark Waters, a beautiful day, two popes, joker, ad astra, danger close, once upon a time..., sorry we missed you, mosul, yesterday and others i rated/10
Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood (Quentin Tarantino)
The Platform (Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia)
The Farewell (Lulu Wang)
It looks like there was some crappy looking Owen Wilson film released this year that's also called Bliss. So please don't mistake the one I listed with that one. The one in my list is the horror film released in 2019.
Well a year later (from the original post) & I have only seen 5 from 2019. The only two I would put on a top 10 are Parasite & The Farewell. The others were just meh?

You'll probably have an even harder job with 2020. With all those film delays there was only about 3 films released.

I'm going to 'bookmark' this so I can come back when I've had a chance to see a movie from last year.

Can't remember anything specific, but there were scenes that left violent scar in my brain
