I believe he is supposed to be Chief Justice Sir William Gascoigne. See link below.

@bratface Thanks. I wonder why the film creators were not more specific. Possibly they were not sure of the spelling, intended to add more later, but did not for some reason

Not sure. But this version is taken/adapted from Shakespeare's plays, not real life.

True, for example Falstaff. But there is no "William" character in Henry V.

I haven't seen this version, so I have no idea if they have strictly adhered to Shakespeares' play or have added bits & pieces of what really happened?

There is a 'Michael Williams' in Henry V, he is a soldier. Here is a wiki page about him. But as I haven't seen this movie I cannot say if they are the same as the character Sean Harris plays?

Don't know what else to say other than the only real William associated with the real Henry V (& his father) was the one in my first response.
