This is a very subtle horror film, more character driven and (towards the end) atmospheric... Very little gore, no jump scares, just people dealing with a situation... It's a basic scenario, crew on a trawler get infected by a deep sea creature and deal with it in a very human way, knowing they are likely doomed, but how they go about this is the story... And the ending is near perfect.
