I don't know, maybe it's Phone Booth. I'm sure it's not Minority Report. But this role is a real gem for him, and he knocks it out of the park. His scenes in the office after assuming control were hilarious for the nuanced way he did certain things, like pulling himself forward while sitting in his chair - that one move always cracks me up.

I haven't seen Horrible Bosses but for me, Colin Farrell's best performance - by far - is in Tigerland.
He was excellent in The Lobster, too - although the film fell apart somewhat in the second half.

He's a great actor... He really is a different character in every movie he plays... I just wish he finally gets the kind of role where people can look past him as a moviestar and recognise this...
Needs the right project, with the right director... I'd love to see him work with Paul Thomas Anderson or Jason Reitman...

Topic is best role, discussion seems to be best performance. I would say, yeah, this is his best role, but Tigerland was probably his best performance. But this was basically his version of Tom Cruise and Les Grossman: playing totally over the top asshats for maximum laughs.
Also, say what you will, but I thought his Bullseye was fierce.

Ooh, actually, you've made a great point. I may indeed have incorrectly named the topic...I did mean performance - regardless whether the role itself was good or not.
And, having now thought about it, thanks to you, I suppose it's quite possible for a great role to be poorly performed (most easily identified in remakes, I suspect).
At any rate, yeah, this is actually more about Farrell's performance in Horrible Bosses - loved it!
