I don't think this film has any chance of saving the MCU, there's just not enough substance to it, it'll keep it on life support for a bit longer. Its more Deadpool but nothing really special, just decent enough. 7/10

If franchises died that easily, the DCU would be long dead and buried and Sony would stop trying to make a live-action SCU, yet they keep coming back. Just enjoy the good movie and forget about the MCU. It will either pivot off this success or it won't.
It's reported at $824mil right now. At this rate, it'll break a billion by next week. I watched it last night on it's second weekend in a packed theater, so it's definitely not losing momentum.
As I expected, it's breaking records and only some critics are a 'bit' cautious. The audience thinks it is at the top with other Marvel movies like "Black Panther (2018)" and "Avengers: Endgame (2019)". If they're right then it should easily make over a $billion at the box office. Will it pass the $1.3 billion of "Black Panther (2018)"?
Cinemascore for the previous two Marvel movies is A+; this movie scored 'just' an A.
It's at $903M now. Anyone doubt it's going to break a billion? Is there anything that will stop it? Borderlands which is currently at 5% on Rotten Tomatoes with movie critics actively telling people if they want a movie this weekend they should rewatch Deadpool and Wolverine instead. 🤣
Now will it beat Joker and get the record for the highest box office for an R rated film? Yeah, probably.
Yes. The movie has good legs. Opening weekend box office worldwide: $444 million. Second weekend it added another $380 million globally (-14% drop), reaching a total of $824M. Third weekend it made $205 million globally (-46% drop), and a total now of $1.029 billion. It needs to make more than $50 million the coming weeks to surpass "Joker (2019)" box office gross of $1.079 billion.

The MCU was in such a bad way this couple of years, i'm glad DP & WV turn out to be this good.

What left an impression on me was the soundtrack. Especially the song NSYNC – Bye Bye Bye (Deadpool & Wolverine)
