Every time I watch this movie I feel so sorry for that poor neglected dog. Living with a depressed alcoholic who leaves her in a hotel room for hours. Living in that messy condo and eating her meals out of containers on that tiny balcony. She doesn't even have her own food dish. You never see Mavis take her for a walk.

At least at the end of the movie, Mavis seems apologetic for the way she's treated her pup, and hopefully will start treating her better.
