Once the girl was presented, I was expecting that eventually she was gonna manage Kidd into giving up to send her to her western home and instead take her back to her indian friends, which would be where she belongs. And in the middle of it he'd flee from him.
I was surprised that she accepted her fate and never tried to flee (well, acutally flee) and followed the whole journey, to the point of not fleeing even from her family. I was also surprised that indians were barely shown, and their bad side was presented too. It got very touching to see that both sides had bad ppl and no side was shown as the good/victim one.
This looked very much as the world I see. Most ppl don't care about anything, a few bad ppl cause most of the bad things on the world, family can't be trusted and most times is better to stay away, and in the end we must aim into finding the few good ppl that would accept us and want good to us, the ones worth keeping close.
