how did you think it worked with the accent?

i only saw a bit of this, i've always known about this movie, but it wasn't until now when i came across it i realised hanks has an accent throughout the movie, to someone who's seen the entire thing, how did you think it worked out?

If the biggest problem on display here was a distracting accent there would not be a huge problem. This is all-round atrocious, perhaps Spielberg's worst film.
The airport set was impressive, ill give it that.
