Time warp resulting from COVID-caused changes to premiere date of Jennifer Lopez/Owen Wilson MARRY ME movie, meant characters in PARIENTES A LA **FUERZA refer in Episodes 2 and 3 to film that hadn't been released yet (in world of viewers watching then). Judging from MARRY ME official trailer, I far prefer PARIENTES (aka FAMILY BY FORCE**), a wonderfully enjoyable, innovative, intelligent, often bi-lingual telenovela set mostly in Los Angeles. Main characters are Hollywood screenwriter and Mexican singer he falls in love with, who becomes his inspiration.

Please try PARIENTES A LA FUERZA--I think you'll like it, especially if you're looking for swoony romance with laugh out loud comedy, "emotional roller coaster ride" plot twists and suspense, and mature, yet appealing, attractive, talented protagonists--PLUS songs in wide range of musical styles dealing with ups and downs of love relationships.
When MARRY ME comes to theaters, maybe compare with PALF to which it has some similarities. Then comment on which you think does better job in putting you in true Valentine mood...
