Overview
軌道電梯「首都塔」專門用來將地球的能源「光子電池」從宇宙運送過來。負責保護首都塔的「首都護衞團」候補生貝利，在第一次實習時遇到宇宙海賊襲擊，並協助將之捕獲。貝利在被捕的海賊少女艾達身上，感受到某種不可思議的東西；不知為何，他竟能啓動艾達稱之為「G-Self」的高性能機動戰士。以宇宙世紀結束後的時代——復新世紀為舞台，少年少女的冒險將一直往世界的真相邁進。
