Well, not exactly the same, but kind of same with the whole platform/planet in the sky terrorizing the poor sods down below and the cyborgs/robots. Speaking of robots why is it that they can't seem to hit the broadside of the barn except when the plot absolutely calls for it? My favourite is the scene on the bridge when the evil bad guy runs in a straight line to get the "child" and you have a whole group of these robots taking potshots at him and obviously missing from something like 50 yards. I imagine weapon sway and wind calculation etc. wouldn't be much of an issue for these bad boys, but I guess they dug them out from the nearest dumpster. I did have a laugh at the "running bomb" robots also. I couldn't quite understand why they (the army) would arm them inside their own ship especially since they didn't seem too good at following orders and one of them decided to stand there for a while and tell the female commander or whatever what a pleasure it's been to serve her. I'm not even going to ask why it would say something like that to begin with. Would've been a funny scene at least if it blew inside the ship, but alas no. It was nice they had those big microwave oven second clocks prominently featured on the front counting down because you obviously want the opposition know when exactly it's going to blow like in a Bugs Bunny cartoon : that's all folks! Then we the mall sized mega tanks with gigantic turrets on them. Whomever were they designed to fight exactly - Godzilla? Seems kind of impractical to bring monstrosities like that to target individual robots like they did in the movie. I did also wonder what was the point of making those robots so lifelike with human faces etc. if you are going to leave them a big ol' hole that you can shove your fist through on the sides of their heads so you know immediately they are robots. Why bother with the human likeness to begin? Why does a robot cry and speak with a broken accent while we're at it or why do they turn themselves off when they are charging themselves? When you have nonsensical scenes like the aforementioned for two+ hours it starts to get really old especially since the plot is mediocre at best and John David Washington still can't act at all. The only thing this "creator" has created is a really bad movie.
