Korte film: Second unit-regisseur Jonas Govaerts interviewt Stanley, de hoofdcast en de producenten over het maken van de film. Prachtig gestructureerd neemt ‘Hot Pink Horror’ het publiek mee waarom dit verhaal werd geselecteerd, hoe Stanley regisseur werd, hoe Cage erbij betrokken raakte, waarom ze de film in Sintra, Portugal opnamen, en nog veel meer. Ook al lijkt 20 minuten niet veel, toch bevat Govaerts zo veel details over de productie, zowel creatief als technisch, dat het bijna een minifilmschool lijkt. Als je Color Out of Space echt hebt gegraven, is dit het stuk om in te duiken en van te genieten.

Wonderfully structured, “Hot Pink Horror” takes the audience through why this story was selected, how Stanley became director, how Cage became involved, why they shot the film in Sintra, Portugal, and much more. Even though 20 minutes doesn’t seem like much, Govaerts packs such a great deal of details on production, both creative and technical, that it’s almost a bit like a mini film school. If you really dug Color Out of Space, this is the piece to dive into and enjoy.
