Discuss Abraham Lincoln - Vampirjäger

A reviewer wrote that the train crash scene near the end of the movie is "a bit silly and overly unrealistic."

In a movie about Abraham Lincoln as an axe-wielding vampire hunter, that's the part that is overly unrealistic?

Allll righty then.

I think the problem with this film was that it wasn't crazy enough. I watched the first 10-15 minutes because I was drawn by that awesome title. But the film itself, if I remember correctly, seemed to take itself quite seriously while being fairly run of the mill. With a mental title you need a mental film to back it up.

Tremendous performance by Daniel Day Lewis though.

I read that he went and lived off-grid with some Canadian loggers for a few weeks before filming just so he could become at one with his axe and truly become the character before filming began. Utter dedication to his craft...
