The highlight was probably Princess Leia singing a beautiful song for Chewbacca and the wookiees - I think it was her way of an attempted apology for that lack of medal business 😳

I came across reference to this on Wikipedia last year and was convinced it must be a joke.
A quick YT search revealed, to my utter amazement, that this actually happened
I managed to endure about 25 mins.
It's no wonder Lucas tried desperately to destroy all copies.

Yeah, that Itchy character (Chewie's dad) is one strange looking creature...

It's also got another lovely moment near the end when Han professes his love for all the other guys. It's quite touching 😢

Interestingly this might have been semi-officially re-canonised - Lumpy apparently makes a reappearance in the latest Aftermath novel 😲

Boba Fett's first appearance! And quite honestly, I liked what was done with his character in this one!

It's quite amazing that every decision that went into the holiday special was a terrible one. 😕
