《你是豬》故事講述20年前在馬來西亞南方一件發生在校園的種族暴動事件，黃明志拍攝的目的就是想揭發這個被馬來西亞舊政府掩蓋的真相，並希望馬來西亞各種族之間能夠打破種族政策的框架，團結一心。他說；「這部電影是秘密進行拍攝的，也不會在馬來西亞上映，但希望因為金馬獎而有機會能夠在台灣讓大家看到。」
