Really good stuff here. The acting was fantastic, the boy was pretty good considering most child actors suck. But the stand out is Andi Matichak as Laura. She was able to show the pain and strength a mothers love can get you thru and also make you do. Hirsch was ok but didnt really have much to work with till the end. Very well shoot and edited, didnt drag in any parts and kept ramping up that sick feeling in your gut till the very end. Really enjoyed the practical FXs as well, no CGI used in this film. It was also beautifully lit, dark and bleak but with pop of colors splashed around. Only down side is the predictable outcome, if you pay attention you will be able to catch it pretty quickly on. But dont let that stop you from experiencing a great horror film. I feel like this will be come a classic indie horror film when more people get around to seeing it. A solid 8/10 for me.
