Discuss Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

A bit harsh and something of an exaggeration, but at the same time a nine year wait for this? It's not terrible, but at the same time it doesn't really have anything going for it and even the action scenes seem mediocre and lackluster. The obvious question that has been asked a hundred times by now is obviously why make a big budget blockbuster "Mad max" movie with a side character that doesn't really have any sort of established following nor is very interesting to begin with, but I suppose we know the answer by now: can't have a mainstream movie these days without some absurd strong independent girl boss. Somebody enlighten me but so far has there been a single case of some well established movie franchise making a spin off movie with a side character and the movie proving out to be financially or critically a success? I can't think of any of the top of my head. Speaking of side characters if they were hellbent on making a Mad max movie without a Mad max why not use a character that was at least interesting like Immortan Joe. Speaking of him he and Rictus and the rest of the Fury Road veterans are woefully wasted and I wish George Miller would've removed them altogether instead of tarnishing their image. The same goes for the war boys who are pathetically used in the movie and there aren't really even any memorable scenes with anyone in the movie even though Fury Road was full of them. I'm not even going to start on that totally pointless love story.

tldr: What does a war boy yell when he watches Furiosa : MEDIOCRE!

yeah, it felt kinda underwhelming, first Max Max (reboot) was pretty decent and revolutionary, this is just copycat trying to milk it, they should cut half an hour, it was way too long for the story/action 6/10 if half an hour shorter it would be 7-8/10
