I was a fan of the original Liquid TV animated Aeon Flux on MTV and was fully expecting garbage when I found out Theron was cast in the live action movie. I wasn't wrong. I actually nodded off 7 times when I watched it in the theater. I defy anyone to not be engrossed by the source material. The story was that the studio suits ruined it, but I don't care if that is true. Theron is lazy and didn't think enough of the role to get herself into shape for it even though she was paid $10 Million for it.

I havent seen this film in ages but from what I remember it seemed like it was made on the cheap. It was made for 62 million, but the production just seemed cheap to me for some reason. As a comparison Resident Evil cost 33 million and to me seemed like it had better production value overall. Just my two cents. Oh and dont you just love how studios almost always never stay close to the source material...cause that would make to much sense.

The cartoon looks "cold" and artificial.

My only outstanding beef with the film, to my memory, is the black girl with hands for feet.

That was based on a character in the source material. Probably freaked a lot of people out to see it as live action, haha.
