The cenebots are excellent at pain and may be seen as demons. But who would see them as Angels and take pleasure in suffering? They rip up your souls

They cause pain in order to elevate your consciousness to a new level where pain and pleasure become indistinguishable. There's a reason none of the Cenobites seem bothered by their predicament. They were all human at one point, but now... they're something more. It's complicated.
Honestly, I think I'd open the box, take them up on their offer.
