This one knocked my socks off. Go into it without reading anything about it. I did and was floored. Wes Craven is smiling somewhere.

Saw this the other night not knowing anything about it and at first I was like "nothing is happening!" and then once it reaches that one scene it's a rollercoaster all the way to the end. I really enjoyed it.

However, I do have questions. Who exactly was setting up the Airbnb listings on the internet? The first two characters had e-mail notifications so who is setting up bank accounts/e-mails to set this all up? Who is paying the bills to keep the heat/water/electricity on? Who is paying the taxes on this house or keeping the outside nice and clean? Why did the woman not ask the cops to run her plates on the car parked outside?

These were all things I thought about after the movie was over and they don't get in the way of my enjoyment, but there had to be someone else managing this operation.

The actor was renting it out as an air bnb. He called and asked his property manager if she rented it out and she said not for weeks. So the actor is. But why would he buy a house in THAT neighborhood? I wouldn't have thought to ask the cops about the plates. You would survive longer than me. I mean there are some things that don't make sense. Why superpowers? How did momma end up under 'baby' after the water tower fall? Who would run to the TOP of a water tower to escape? But I just enjoyed the ride.

All the things you mentioned happened at the end, which definitely took a bit of shine of the film for me. Prior to her escaping and being fobbed off by the cops, it was great and intense. But the police not believing her was kind of an eye roll moment, surely you just say someone was murdered in the basement?!

The first half alone makes this worth watching though.

You must be kidding. This movie was LAME. It's a sad excuse of a horror film... of ANY type of film.
