Discuss The Beast

I have plown through one hour of this and I am utterly bored. Nothing is happening. Just bla bla bla in different yawn-triggering environments and eras. Not least to say the characters who are unbelievably uninteresting with constant meta-subject dialogues.

Do I really have to suffer through this whole thing just to get some sort of a final aha when something AI thing is to be revealed at the end?

Geez, I want to enjoy a MOVIE, not the last 30 seconds of a 2 hour 25 min slow burn fluff.

Is it another smart-pretentious movie for dumb people?

It's only very bad SF from people who dont have anything to say.

Almost suspected that. I think I am going to see the rest in the near future, and I really hope it's gonna give me something. For this hour though, I'm just really curious how it can receive imdb scores like that. And even here. Wtf. Sorry to appear so angry about it, but I really do like SF genre and I do expect something to be given after that time spent. I guess, to be continued.

I really enjoyed it. I thought Léa was captivating and the cinematography and sets were quite good. I didn't care for the Elliott Rodger storyline and her black "doll AI" love interest. That felt pretty artificial and unnecessary.

Lars, I fell like you, SF is a genre which don't tolerate mediocrity, for me.
