I haven't seen AWiP in its entirety yet, but AWiL seems to be a tough act to follow. Such a brilliant fusion of comedy & horror. The sequel feels really devoid of charm to me.

It being a different story in a different location made sense since they're not supposed to be direct sequels but different stories in the same world. However, I wouldn't have minded this so much if the werewolves in this movie weren't so crappy looking.

The werewolves look very ape like with some really unconvincing CGI.

The rules in London were changed in Paris like the ghost werewolf victims are cursed to work the Earth in limbo until the werewolf curse has ended, in this they're cursed to walk until the werewolf who killed them dies.

I just took that as a slight retcon in order to deal with the inconsistency of being a sequel. Every sequel ever made has been guilty of that. Look at Star Wars, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of posts on the internet from geek culture pointing out inconsistencies in the continuity.

It still leads to the same joke setup (which it actually was in the first) of spirits pressuring the werewolf to kill themselves.
